Project BEST-CASE
Located in Omaha, Nebraska. Project BEST-CASE stands for "Building Empirically Supported
Treatments - Communication, Adaptive/Academic and Social Skills Education." Project
BEST-CASE is supported by the Hattie B. Munroe Foundation and serves preschool children
(under the age of 10) identified with Autistic Spectrum Disorders (Autism, Asperser's
Disorder, or a Pervasive Developmental Disorder). Children typically come to the
program with significant difficulties in the areas of interacting with others, communicating
effectively, learning through traditional means, and/or adapting to changes in their
environment.

PTI Nebraska is a statewide resource for families of children with disabilities.

Munroe-Meyer Institute Clinical Services
The Munroe-Meyer Institute for Genetics and Rehabilitation (MMI), on the University
of Nebraska Medical Center campus, provides a unique range of services for individuals
with disabilities. The Munroe-Meyer Institute provides comprehensive medical and
related health care services through interdisciplinary clinics and evaluations,
or single discipline assessments and treatment. These services are provided within
MMI, at the Nebraska Health System, in outreach clinics in the Omaha area, and throughout
Nebraska.
TechConnectors
TechConnectors is Nebraska's Recycling Service for computers and assistive technology.
It is a one-stop resource which includes items for sale, give away, loan, demonstration,
or evaluation

The mission of Answers4Families is: to provide information, opportunities for dialogue,
education, and support to Nebraskans with special needs and their families; by developing
and providing Internet resources; and by encouraging others to do the same.
The DRM Regional Resource

The Disability Resource Monthly (DRM) State Resource Directory. Offers links to
various disability organizations throughout the state of Nebraska.
The Ollie Webb Center--Omaha, Nebraska
The mission of the Ollie Webb Center is to improve the lives of people with mental
retardation and other developmental disabilities and to provide information, education
and support to their families.
Offers:
- Pilot Parents - a parent-to-parent program offering information and support to parents
of newly diagnosed children with disabilities.
- Just Friends - a peer mentoring and friendship program that gives teens with disabilities
the change to participate in social and recreational activities with specially selected
friends who do not have disabilities.
- Project II - for adults 18 and older with developmental disabilities. Provides educational,
social and self-advocacy opportunities.
- PRISM - Parent Resource Information and Support Meetings are monthly evening meetings
during the school year (except Dec and Jan) that offers families of children with
disabilities information, education and support relative to their children's special
needs.

ARC of NE
The Arc of Nebraska is committed to helping children and adults with disabilities
secure the opportunity to choose and realize their goals of where and how they learn,
live, work and play.
Autism Spectrum Disorders
The Nebraska ASD Network provides consultation and develops and disseminates information
focused on building the capacity of school districts, families and communities to
support children across the autism spectrum in typical school, home and community
settings. The Nebraska ASD Network does not promote one method or a single approach.
Information and training on a variety of strategies and treatment methods are provided
so educators and family members have the resources to address the specific needs
of each child from the date of diagnosis to age 21.

The Nebraska Client Assistance Program (CAP) is a free service to help you find
solutions if you are having problems with any of the following programs: Vocational
Rehabilitation, Nebraska Commission for the Blind and Visually Impaired, Centers
for Independent Living, or Worknet.CAP acts independently of any agency which provides
services to you.

The Protection and Advocacy (P&A) System are congressionally mandated, legally-based
disability rights agencies. P&A agencies have the authority to provide legal representation
