The 2021 ACN Hats Off Gala Has Been Cancelled; October Art Garden Plan is In The Works
- Return of the Hats Off Event is slated for April 2022
- The need for philanthropic support of ACN is greater than ever before
- The ACN Board and event planning committee is working on creating an October 2021 cocktail event. Stay tuned to this page for more details.
Dear Friends of ACN:
In light of the numerous concerns regarding the spread of COVID-19, ACN announces the very difficult decision to cancel Hats Off to ACN – the gala previously scheduled for April 2021. Although we are all very disappointed, rest assured we intend to celebrate our honorees at a future event.
As we are developing new and creative ways to support our individuals, while working to protect individuals and staff from the spread of the virus, the cancellation of the gala means we are losing a very real and necessary source of revenue supporting our programs and services. We are faced with new challenges as we contemplate the loss of funds typically raised through the annual event. ACN continues to rise to the challenge, providing services beyond what is typical, as we provide services and supports to individuals while school is closed, while other day service providers have closed, and in general, work to serve individuals in the safest possible way during this time.
We ask you to consider turning your planned ticket purchase into a 100% tax-deductible donation.
We will be making individual contacts to those who have already purchased their ticket(s) or table(s) within the next few days to ask how donors would prefer we handle their purchase.
Thank you for being a friend of the Autism Center of Nebraska. Hats Off to YOU.
Gratefully,
Leslie Bishop Hartung
Interim President and CEO
